Setting Up Your Browser For Your Online Course

Create a bookmark folder for your online course

  1. Select the "Bookmarks" pull-down menu.
  2. Choose "Edit Bookmarks."
  3. In the new window that appears, click the "File" pull-down window.
  4. Select "New Folder."
  5. Type your course name (or whatever name you want to use to identify this course).
  6. Click "OK."
  7. Close the "Bookmarks" window.

  1. Navigate to your online course page (or to a web page used in your course).
  2. Select the "Bookmarks" pull-down menu.
  3. Choose "File Bookmark."
  4. Select the folder you created for your course-related bookmarks, and release the mouse button.
  5. Check yourself: Open the folder to see that your new bookmark is included.

Rename a bookmark

  1. Select the "Bookmarks" pull-down menu.
  2. Choose "Edit Bookmarks."
  3. Select the bookmark you want to rename. (You may have to open a folder if it has been filed.)
  4. Select the "Edit" pull-down menu.
  5. Choose "Bookmark Properties."
  6. In the upper line highlight and replace the text that appears with the name you want to give the bookmark. (Do not change the lower line. If you do, the bookmark will not work properly.)
  7. Click "OK."
  8. Close the "Bookmarks" window.
